Player Development & Skills Coach

Coach Paul Edwards brings more than 10 years of coaching and player development experience to Team Kidd Texas. Throughout his career, he has served as a head coach, skills trainer, varsity assistant coach, and Director of Player Development, with a focus on helping athletes grow in their skill, confidence, basketball IQ, and understanding of the game.

Paul’s coaching experience includes individual player development, practice and drill design, game film breakdown, recruiting strategy, college placement, and building strong team culture. He has helped grow a basketball program to more than 150 athletes and has coached players who have earned All-District and All-Conference honors, as well as opportunities to continue their careers at the NCAA Division I, Division II, NAIA, and JUCO levels.

What drew Paul specifically to girls basketball is the work ethic and mindset he consistently sees in female athletes. He values players who are eager to learn, willing to be coached, and committed to becoming students of the game.

His goal is to develop more than basketball skills. Paul wants athletes to leave the gym with greater confidence, a deeper understanding of the game, and the discipline and habits necessary to succeed both on and off the court.
