Director of Business Operations + Head Coach
Brief info

Crystal Delahoz has played a vital role in the growth and success of the program through her leadership both behind the scenes and on the court.

As a coach, Crystal is a passionate teacher of the game who is deeply committed to equipping young women not only as basketball players, but as people. Athletes under her guidance are challenged, invested in, and encouraged to identify and pursue their goals with confidence, passion, and purpose.

A former point guard, Crystal played competitively through high school, helping lead the Lady Texans to three District Championships and two Area Championships. She was named a two-time 4-A All-District and All-Academic selection and earned Co-MVP honors during her final season.

Crystal began coaching in high school and throughout college at local camps, where she discovered a love for passing the game on to the next generation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Counseling and English from the University of North Texas. During college, she also became a dedicated mentor through Young Life, leading backpacking trips in the Colorado wilderness and walking alongside teenagers in meaningful discipleship and leadership until becoming a mother in 2006.

In 2012, Crystal returned to coaching—this time introducing her oldest daughter and her friends to the game for the first time. From 2015–2018, she served as Head Youth Coach for a girls basketball program she helped establish, growing it from a single team to more than 75 athletes. During that time, she frequently crossed paths with Coach Kim—often in championship matchups. Through many long conversations and a shared vision for female leadership and female athlete development, the two felt called in 2018 to join forces and establish what has become one of the most trusted girls basketball programs in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Since 2018, Crystal has served in both coaching and business operations roles and was also instrumental in developing the girls basketball program at Grapevine Faith Christian School, where she coached for four seasons (2019–2023). As Varsity Assistant Coach (2021–2022) and Varsity Assistant & Interim Head Coach (2022–2023), she helped lead the Lady Lions to two record-breaking seasons (60–16), including two Area Championships and multiple tournament titles—highlighted by a championship at the prestigious Lubbock Caprock Tournament as a 4A private school. Her impact on player development was evident at every level, including an undefeated 19–0 season for the D1 Junior High team in 2020–2021, along with multiple district championships across the middle school program.

“I feel most fulfilled when I’m helping young women recognize their own God-given gifts and understand how to utilize those gifts for a greater purpose,” Crystal says. “I love the concept of team—it reflects God’s good design that we are meant to work together to accomplish more than we ever could on our own.”

Outside the gym, Crystal is known for her entrepreneurial and creative spirit. She has owned a photography business since 2007 and founded a thriving online business in 2015. Crystal lives in Trophy Club, Texas, with her husband Mike, daughters Mia Grace (Biola University, Class of 2029) and Ellie (JK Select, Class of 2030), and her son Maddux.
