Shooting, Performance, and Skills Training

“I am convinced life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it.” -Charles Swindoll

We offer year round consistent training sessions by our team of qualified coaches. We consider these sessions our court classroom and love to invest in the development of athletes all over the metroplex. These trainings are open to all high school athletes – members and non members, male and female. These sessions are non contact during the Winter season to allow our HS athletes to focus on their school programs. All rostered members of our HS teams during the Spring and Summer can attend any and all trainings offered for no additional charge as a perk of being a rostered part of our family. Members during the club off season (August – February ) and non club members can purchase single sessions or unlimited monthly training.

Schedule

High School Schedule

We play most of our tournaments with Premier Basketball and here is why…

Premier Basketball Tournaments has been running NCAA certified and non-certified events for the past 25 years and is recognized as one of the most influential event operators in the country. Over 5000 teams and more than 1,500 colleges attended Premier Basketball events in 2018. We are nationally known as the most organized tournaments in the country. College coaches choose to attend Premier Basketball events because they are “structured,“ “they run on time,“ “schedules never change,“ “the college book information is accurate,“ and “the facilities are the best in the country.“

Getting to YOUR next level

Recruiting

Alignment Meetings

If interested we can walk an athlete and their parents thru an Alignment power point presentation to discuss playing basketball in college. We have now helped and/or coached several young ladies who are now playing College basketball at different levels. Coach Todds daughter, Morgan, is playing ball at D2 Univ. of Texas Permian Basin. Coach Kim played at the D1 level, Thru our experiences and training we have gained very powerful and insightful knowledge of the recruiting process and what each of the levels could potentially offer financially (D1, D2, D3, NAIA, & JUCO). It is very important for players, parents, and coaches to all be aligned. Players often may have different ideas than even their parents on some very big decisions. This meeting is a conversation starter and a valuable asset to finding the right fit.

HUDL Video & Stats

If 2020 taught us anything it is how important video is in the recruiting process. Most college coaches were unable to see games live, and it was a bit unusual to not see them on the baselines. Every game is recorded with Hudl and sent to Hudl Assist. Most athletes are already on Hudl thru their respective HS programs and we can add video to their existing profiles. Hudl Assist stats each game within 24 hours of each completed game providing us with some very powerful insight into athlete/team performance. Video is also used in our training and under normal circumstances we have film sessions. Athletes learn so much from seeing themselves on film. Link to Hudl will be included with player profile on our website.

FieldLevel

Fieldlevel is a relatively newer platform that can be used as a bridge to communicate and get info in front of college coaches. We help athletes create a personal profile loaded with info such as height, GPA, SAT/ACT scores, Grad year, Transcripts, Hobbies/Interest, player/parent contact info, highlights, and more. Colleges can filter searches to help them find potential players by any category such as grad year & position. From there they will request a profile release allowing them to gain access to your family’s contact info. We will walk each player thru getting this set up. Link to Fieldlevel will be included with player profile on our website.

Social Media

Twitter, twitter, twitter! This is where most of the college coaches are at. This little secret is so powerful yet so easy to set up. We will walk players thru getting their profiles set up including the information most useful to coaches on their profile. Players are also encouraged/discouraged what should be posted on all of their social media platforms. We discuss the significance of Social Media in life, and how this one tool alone can sometimes make or break dreams of playing college ball.

College Visits

College visit are another tool athletes can utilize to gain a better understanding of a potential program and their school. Imagine yourself walking the grounds of the school, meeting coach and possibly future teammates, sitting in on a practice, checking out dorm rooms, and visiting with various college departments. We can help you in learning what the difference is between an unofficial visit and an official visit. We will also guide players on what questions they should be asking, remember your interviewing them just as they are you.

D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO???

The ultimate question, what level should I try to play at? There are God given intangibles that may persuade the answer, like height. Then there are all the other intangibles you can control; speed, strength, IQ, and more. We’ll take into account several variables to help players determine what might be the best fit for them and their families. We’ll discuss some of these in the alignment meetings and answer questions you may have. Know that every players path is unique and there is no cookie cutter plan. There are some amazing stories out there like this one about a young lady from right down the road turning down D1 offers to follow family tradition at a D2. That’s just the beginning, read more here…Gray Matters. (credit: Ryan Cameron OSU)
